Description
Grapes from this old block of vines planted in 1953 were sorted and destemmed before a light crush. Fermentation took place in small, open fermenters with punch downs four times a day. After fermentation the wine was racked and skins were pressed in small baskets. Maturation took place over 16 months in 225l French oak barrels. Age of barrels range from 2nd - 4th fill. Red and black berries with hints of tea leaf, combined with an earthiness. Soft silky finish
